Nestled in the center of Bruges, just steps from the towering Saint Salvator’s Cathedral, Hotel De Castillion offers guests an immersive experience in quiet luxury.
Housed within the walls of a seventeenth-century palace, this boutique hotel is a refined retreat where history and modern hospitality meet in perfect harmony.
In 2016, the building underwent a complete transformation. From the twenty guest rooms to the lounge, every space was redesigned with precision and care. Interior architect Jelle Neels infused the interiors with subtle nods to art nouveau and art deco, echoing the elegance of the past while crafting a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
At the core of this ambitious renovation was a desire to offer guests a deeply personal and comfortable experience. For the bathrooms, the hotel turned to Kenny&Mason to provide a full suite of sanitaryware that reflected both the historical significance of the space and the expectations of modern guests.
Each room was individually styled, blending muted tones, elegant detailing, and generous layouts. The goal was to create bathrooms that felt like sanctuaries, with fixtures and finishes that conveyed both luxury and character.
The Premium Luxury Experience
At the heart of Hotel De Castillion’s Premium Luxury Suite lies a bathroom that perfectly reflects the romantic spirit and refined atmosphere of this exclusive space.
Designed as a true sanctuary, the room features a freestanding London bath by Kenny&Mason, crafted from durable quaryl with a soft matte finish.
Its classic clawfoot silhouette adds sculptural elegance, inviting guests to unwind in comfort and style.
The bath is paired with a bath mixer from the Discovery collection, a fitting that balances timeless aesthetics with precise functionality.
The suite also includes two London basins on pedestals, each fitted with Discovery three-hole basin mixers in polished chrome, creating a sense of harmony and symmetry in the space.
All bathroom accessories, from towel rails to robe hooks, are also by Kenny&Mason, carefully selected in matching chrome to maintain visual cohesion and understated sophistication. Adding warmth and everyday comfort is the Oxford towel heater in an electric version, seamlessly integrated into the suite’s design.
Together, these elements form a bathroom that is both elegant and inviting, an immersive expression of Kenny&Mason’s craftsmanship within the hotel’s most intimate and luxurious setting.
Executive Junior Suite
The Executive Junior Suite at Hotel De Castillion offers a unique blend of character and comfort, where original wooden beams and classic design elements create a warm, inviting atmosphere.
At the heart of the room, a freestanding Big White Bath by Kenny&Mason draws the eye. Painted on the outside in a soft, custom tone, it acts as both a focal point and a place of quiet retreat.
Positioned within view of the bed, the bath invites relaxation and adds a romantic touch to the suite’s layout.
Complementing the bath is a Discovery collection mixer, elegantly mounted on floor with legs in the same chrome finish.
This pairing not only adds functional ease but elevates the overall visual harmony of the room. A separate walk-in rain shower completes the bathing experience, offering guests both indulgence and practicality.
Every element, from the sculptural lines of the bath tap to the painted finish of the tub, reflects the thoughtful craftsmanship of Kenny&Mason and supports the suite’s atmosphere of refined ease.
